Hog Roast......How we work...

Because of the cooking time involved with our hog roasts (6-9 hrs), it would be impractical to cook from start on site so we cook the hog at our premises then transport the hog in the oven to the event where it remains hot until serving.  This process is also much less intrusive because we do not need all day access.  Due to the use of our 3mtr x 3mtr gazebo, the hog roast experience can still go ahead should it rain.

How we work...
We start roasting the hog at our premises at least 5-8 hours before serving time. 

We transport the hog cooked, wrapped in foil to the event arriving approx 1hr before serving.

The hog is resting during this time allowing meat to relax and become more tender. 


We set up our gazebo (if needed) and other catering equipment.


Salads etc
 if ordered, the bread rolls, apple sauce and disposables are prepared on the serving table.

About 15 minutes before serving I start carving the meat into to trays along with the crackling.

The guests are then able to enjoy the self serve buffet at the required time.


Any food not eaten will be left for your use, we can supply containers for this. 

When service has ended, we clean the immediate area and pack away the equipment leaving you to enjoy your event.
